| I started with an electric 1800 PSI model after advise from a friend of mine. However I felt it had not enough power to do the job so I returned it and bought the Karcher G2600VH at Sam's club[...]. It came already assembled. At home I filled in the oil and gas, connected the hoses, inserted the nozzle, turned the water on and fired the engine up. It ran after the second kick. I gave it a try washing my 2 year old driveway. With the electric model I used the included dirt nozzle for one area. With the gas model I used the 25 degree nozzle. It cleaned much easier and quicker. The wand is higher quality as well. I did not try the SoapPacs yet. Will use those Saturday when washing my cars, patio furniture and lanai. So far very good impression and I can recommend this product. |
refurbed unit does not work without choke

refurbed karcher unit arrived through fedex.
issues:
1. box covered with oil from included unsealed oil-quart bottle
2. does not work without choke engaged
3. cylinder head has a hairline crack, don't know if it is superficial...but cause for concern anyway
called karcher; told to 'destroy in field', i.e. don't return because I had already put in gas in it. Upside is that they refunded my money.

| Please be aware, have had two units,the shipping and packing was terrible, parts scattered all over the box with leaking oil all over everyone thing.Both units have failed to even start,with absolutely no support from Karcher. Amazon was quick to replace unit and extremely helpful.I would never purchase from Karcher again.Really tough to review unit due to the fact it will not even start. |

BUYER BEWARE !
After not receiving this product that was ordered on 4/14/2009, I contacted Karcher and was told that it was delivered on 4/17/2009 by FEDEX. It was not ! However, they were quick to offer a new shipment. Finally it arrived around the 25th, only to find that the lawn hose attachment arrived broken and unusable. After a few e-mails back and forth with Karcher, they offered to mail the replacement part (7 to 10 days) to correct the problem. As of today, May 17th, I have NOT received
anything from them. So, after 5 weeks, I still have a useless $429 Power Washer sitting in my garage. They were quick to take payment, but very damn slow to fix the problem !!!!
